One of the original grapes planted in the vineyard in 1991, Cabernet Franc was initially used as a blending grape added to our Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The decision was made in 2005 to let this grape shine on its own. This wine was created in our traditionally inspired low-intervention winemaking style. Post-fermentation, the wine was placed into a 11-month oak barrel program consisting of new, one and two-year old American and French oak.

A warmer season than the previous few, 2010 produced a Cabernet Franc bursting with cherries, blueberries and cola, followed by just a hint of vanilla on the nose. Concentrated red fruit, innuendos of lavender and smoke, and a velvety mouthfeel with a smooth finish lead to a noteworthy wine to be enjoyed now or with age. 142 cases produced.
