The god of the warm, west wind, Zephyrus, was the gentlest of the winds. Often depicted as a handsome, winged youth, he was known as the fructifying wind and messenger of spring.

2010 was a warm, mild summer- one of the first in a number of years- and produced wines with a perfect combination of bright fruit and the earthiness and minerality indicative of our terroir.

The 2010 Zephyrus is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Petit Verdot with alluring scents of dark red fruit and black pepper, and a hint of cloves. Abundant cherries and raspberries and a sumptuous mouthfeel with a smooth, lingering finish make this a wine that you won’t soon forget. Aged eighteen months in French and American oak, with the additional usage of oak staves (100% French), Zephyrus embodies classic oak characteristics; including spice and vanilla. 87 cases produced.
