It took many years and much experimentation before we found the perfect match for our Rosé. The decision to use Merlot to make our Rosé was made in 2008 and the complexity of the 20-year old vines has shown wonderfully in the wine.

The 2011 47-Ten Rose was fermented through to dryness, yielding a wine of high acid and good complexity. With beautiful color retained through brief skin contact, this Rose absolutely bursts with strawberry and banana on the nose, accompanied by subtle hints of rose water and pineapple. The palate delights with strawberries, hints of pineapple and good acid leading to the crisp, bright finish. This wine was made in 100% stainless steel and is a spectacular pair for seared tuna and other Asian-inspired cuisine. 291 cases produced.
